Pinup Girls | Redondo Beach Portraits

Pretty models, cute clothes, and my new 50mm had a photo date at the Ultra Lux Salon and Lounge in Redondo Beach.  I was really looking forward to this shoot because I got to play with lighting.  Typically I shoot in all natural light, but I think I might be addicted to studio lighting now!  Here are a few images from this super fun shoot.

Special thanks to Mia and Ming for setting up this session and to Pin Up Girl Clothing for providing the cute outfits!

Orange County Florist | Floral Elements

It was 5AM and I was already up and ready to go.  Cindy from Floral Elements was on her way to pick me up so we can head down to the Los Angeles flower mart for her portraits.  Cindy is the owner of Floral Elements and she needed some images for her brand new website.  I haven’t been to the flower mart since I moved to the OC so it was such a treat for me.  Here are the images from our early morning shoot!

Balboa Island Portraits | Brittany + Taylor

A while back I was lucky enough to photograph Kacee Geoffroy’s family on Balboa Island.  Here are a few shots of Kacee’s brother Taylor and his girlfriend Brittany.  These two are just adorable in front of the camera!

China | Travel Photograhy

Where do I begin?  The first time I was in China was back in 2001 for a study abroad program.  I’ve always wanted to go back, but the timing was always off.  I had the opportunity to visit again and would like to share a few images from my trip.

It was a 9 day tour through Guilin and Zhangjiajie and not a minute was wasted.  Let’s start with a few images from Guilin and then make our way to Zhangjiajie…

Elephant Trunk Hill – it resembles an elephant dipping its snout into the river

The Silver Cave is a limestone caved with amazing stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over the centuries. Some of the stalactites shine like silver and that is how the cave got its name.

I loved their outfits!

Now we are making our way to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, but first a quick scenic stop.

This book is really old, too bad I can’t remember how old…

We had dinner at this really cool runway themed restaurant.  During dinner service, there is an actual runway show featuring some of the latest fashions in China!

Here is a view from the Tianmenshan Cable Car in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

This trip was truly breathtaking.  I’ve climbed more stairs than I ever wanted to and ate more than I probably should.   Now the big questions in…where to go next!
