On Mother’s Day, my friend Hanssie Trainor invited me to San Diego for an engagement session with her clients. While we were there, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to photograph my friend Nicole at Balboa Park. Nicole and I met when we went on a tour through Europe 6 years ago and I’m so glad we still keep in touch! She was 16 when I first met her so I always refer to her as a little girl. Obviously, she’s gown into a very successful and charming young lady.

These guys were so much fun!

Hilary needed more shots for her modeling portfolio so I was more than happy to help her out. I wanted to go somewhere fun and colorful so we headed to The Lab in Costa Mesa. Here are a few shots from our afternoon.

Melissa is an aspiring model who was very easy to work with. She drove all the way from Palm Springs to Irvine to meet with me for this shoot. We started out the day with big red balloons, but by the time we got to our destination, they all popped! Here are a few shots from Melissa’s shoot (minus the balloons) and I had a lot of fun playing with textures.

I met Kim and went on a little hike in Irvine in search for the perfect location to shoot. She was a real trooper because it was cold and muddy in the hills that day. Here are a few of my favorites.
